The History Channel, cable television's premier destination for historical programming, is currently producing a brand new series on the Last Days of World War II. Starting with the battle of Iwo Jima in February 1945 and ending with the surrender of Japan in August 1945, Last Days of World War II is slated to air in 2005 on the 60th anniversary of the actual events covered in this 26 part historical series.

As the Associate Producer on the project I am currently searching for veterans who would be willing to share their knowledge, experiences and opinions with us, potentially on camera, on a date yet to be determined. Specifically, I am looking for any members who participated in battle towards the end of the war in 1945 (Feb-Aug).

If you can assist us in any way, it would be much appreciated. Our end goal is to preserve and portray this chapter in history as accurately and honestly as possible. Your assistance is important to us and to the future generations who will be viewing this program. Thanks for your cooperation and I look forward to hearing from you.
