| Daryl Miller I was born in the small Midwestern town of Goshen, IN where there are about as many Amish buggies as there are corn fields. My father is ex-Amish who broke away because his love for the Mamas and the Papas was greater than the life of farming. I moved from Indiana when I was 18yrs old to Michigan where I spent four years in a small coastal town (coast of Lake Michigan that is). Even though I could wake up to the sunrise beaming across the lake every morning, in 1999 I decided to move to Dallas, TX to pursue my acting career and be closer to my sister and nephew. It was right at that time I started working with Southwest Solutions Group, Inc. during their early years. It looks as though God had plans for me here because the fall of 2010 will mark my 11th anniversary with this very successful company. In 2003, I met my now wife, Deborah, at church. We started a Bible study group together and ironically started dating about three weeks after we met. After dating for 7 weeks, we got engaged and were married 6 months later. I certainly didn't give her enough time to change her mind! We will celebrate our six year anniversary July of 2010. We have a two year old son, Jack, with whom we love spending time and raising up to the best of our abilities. Specifically to Southwest Solutions Group, I have served in many roles over the years. My responsibilities have been installation, project coordination, creating standard operating procedures, managing service agreements, conflict resolution advisor, and subject matter expert to the sales and installation team. In 2004, I started my sales apprenticeship under one of the owners and VP of Sales. After completing the training, I was transferred to the great city of Austin in 2005. Interestingly enough, I am now training my first apprentice. My involvement with the IFMA Austin chapter started in 2005. This chapter has been a great resource both with long term business relationships as well as the education it provides regarding the professional facility management industry. I hope to get to know you soon. |
