Qualifications

- Prefer LEED certification
- Experience or knowledge of sustainability best practices using the U.S. Green Building
Council’s LEED rating systems as a standa=
rd.
- Proficiency with computer software and systems for technical and
presentation graphics, including but not limited to AutoCAD (2009 or more
current), GIS, SketchUp,
and Powerpoint.
- Significant portfolio of work demonstrating experience in the design and
development of commercial office renovations and or remodels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while supervising the =
work
of maintenance personnel.
- Strong working knowledge of current construction practices and ability =
to
ensure contractor compliance with construction documents (contracts, plan=
s,
specifications, budgets, schedule, etc.)
- Must be able to drive to various city sites.

Duties,
Functions and Responsibilities
|
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with
Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be
assigned.
1.Manage project budget and schedule, estab=
lish
project timelines, approve expenditures, track contractor and consultant
payments and fees. May develop, monitor, analyze, report and revise the
schedule by
obtaining input from knowledgeable and/or technical sources. Manage and
initiate review and/or design of engineering/architectural projects.
2.Manage the selection process and administer consultant services,
including negotiating contract terms and fees by negotiating the contract=
,
approves the consultants product, approves payment to consultant,
initiates poor performance remedies, etc.)
3.Manage, monitor and review contracts and
contractors to ensure
compliance with contractual obligations, including administering change
orders and estimates
4.Develop short/long range plans for future to ongoing projects. Includin=
g
estimate timelines for start up and completion of projects.
5.Develop, maintain, and improve design and
construction project
management policies and procedures
6.Provide technical advice and assistance to city management, field
personnel, contractors, etc.
7.Develop and evaluate plans, criteria, etc. for a variety of projects,
programs, and plans.
8.Meet with project engineers/architects and
contractors to discuss designs
and design changes and provide resolutions.
9.Coordinate the analysis of site selection by
hiring various consultants to
develop reports and review recommendations with consultants and
responsible departments
10. Resolve conflicts and difficult situations.
