electrical and plumbing systems.

One additional year of relevant work experience may substitute for one year of the required education with a
maximum substitution of four years.

Licenses and Certifications Required: Texas Class "C" Operator's License.  

A current Texas driver's license in good standing and proof of personal automobile liability insurance will be required if operation of motorized equipment will be a job duty.

Texas driver's license in good standing required. SMA or SMT preferred. Physical requirements are moderate and include constant walking, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders and lifting equal to 50 lb. in force.

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related
duties may be assigned.
1.Inspect buildings and equipment for needed repairs and maintenance.
2.Drive vehicles as needed.
3.Move furniture, file cabinets, equipment, etc using hand dollies.
4.Repair and replace electric plugs and cords.
5.Perform basic service on pumps, air handlers, cooling towers, etc repack, change oil and filters, lubricate, etc.
6.Operate drills, buffers, grinders, sanders, etc. Operate various power saws, i.e., radial arm, skill, etc. Operate
acetylene cutting torch, welder, etc.
7.Perform simple plumbing installations and repairs i.e., install and repair faucets, unclog drains, replace valves, etc.
8.Paint, varnish, and/or seal walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, equipment, etc using brushes, rollers, air sprayers, etc.
9.Hammer nails/stakes. Install door closers, kickplates, locks, etc.
10.Measure using tapes, transits, levels, etc.
11.Perform semiskilled carpentry work in the construction and repair of walls, ceilings, doors, etc.
12.Perform minor repairs to tables, chairs, desks, cabinets, etc.
13.Read profiles and blueprints.
14.Review work for accuracy and completeness.
15.Install and/or replace floor and ceramic tiles

Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised:
Assign job duties and monitor task completion. Train personnel in performance of job tasks. Supervise work unit in
absence of supervisor

Skill in reading and understanding simple blueprints.
Skill in performing emergency and routine repairs and maintenance as required.
