IFMA Golf Tournament
by Bob Payne

The IFMA 2000 Golf Tournament was a huge success!  Many compliments were received about the Blackhawk Golf Course and the people who manage it.  More compliments were received about the Golf Committee and the obvious hard work and effort put into it by all.  Every one in attendance especially appreciated the great weather.  Those in charge of the weather deserve a compliment all their own!

Registration began on schedule with Patty May, Roberta Schofield, Julie Lallo and Veray Wool (Blackhawk) manning the main desk.  Lisa Brooks was in charge of the Putting Contest.  The official photographer was Joan Reames, (see photos on the web page).  Carol Whitehead brought a bunch of volunteers from the Blood and Tissue Center who helped manage things on the course.

We still have not received checks from several sponsors and players so we do not know exactly how much money we will have made on the tournament.  It looks good, however, and we may make as much as $9000.00 profit, some of which will be donated to the Blood and Tissue Center.  If you have not sent your check, please do so at your earliest convenience.

There were no losers at the IFMA 2000 tournament but the Winners were:

First Place Team: Biff Beale, Tracy Lee, Kevin Klieforth, and Bob Sullivan
Second Place Team: Christy Anderson, Barry Reese, Joe Cava, and Bob Payne
Third Place Team: Steve Ambrose, John Mack, Doug Rzepniewski and Jason Rzepniewski.
Fourth Place Team: Jay Femal, Guy Griffiths, Mike Larpenter, and Dave Pitts
Men's Long Drive: Cody Childers
Ladies Long Drive: Sue Ludwig
Closest to the Pin #12 Barry Reese
Beat the Pro on #5: Tim Broeren
Putting Contest: Randy Kelly
The Grand Prize winner was Larry Gunnels!

Don't forget to give Bob Payne a Texas Thank-You.
IFMA-Austin owes him a lot for this tournament
